| How do I renew my photo ad if it doesn't sale in the first month? |
The free photo ads and free classifieds cannot be renewed. They must be resummited. The large Black and
white and the small and large color photo ads can be renewed, using the reference number in parynthesis at
the end of your description. Payment must be in office before your ad is renewed. |
| Do you have any suggestions on the sale of a horse? |
Glad you asked. As far as the picture goes. Before you send your photo, look at your picture and ask yourself
if that was not your horse, would the photo stop you and spark some interest. If it would not, it probably would
not stop someone else. Also the quality of your photo will play a huge part in selling your animal. Make sure
your horse is standing with it's side torwards you, and be sure the sun is at your back. Make your horse stand
as square as possible. Never take a picture with the horse standing with his front end facing torwards you. It can
make his head look huge. Remember; a good photo can be worth more than a thousand words. |
| Do I have to size my photo before I send it to you? |
| No, we will take care of that. Just be careful not to send a photo that his very large. 3x5 will be great |
| Do I have to send a black and white photo, for your black and white photo ads spots? |
| No, we will convert your color photo. |
| Do I have to include my city and state with my description? |
| Yes, city and state must be included with your phone number. |
| How many ads are we allowed to send for the free photo ads or free classifieds? |
| Up to 15 per month, as long as they are not the same horse. DUPLICATE ads are prohibited |
| What are your deadlines for your photo ads and classifieds? |
| The deadlines for the photo ads and classifieds are the 15th of the month. All display ads deadline falls a couple of days before. |
| What if I send to many words with my ad? |
| Your description will be shortened at our discretion |
| Will you bill me for my ad or subscription? |
| No, we will not bill for amounts less than $75.00 |
| What format should I save my photo as? |
| Always save and send your photo in a jpeg or PDF format. |
| What resolution should my photo be in? |
| Your resolution for your photo should not be less than 100 and should not be more than 200. |
| Do you get better results from black & white ads or by color ads? |
| Results can vary. But as a rule color photos show more detail and produce better results. |
| Where do you distribute your publication? |
Our publication is hand distributed in Virginia, North Carolina, Eastern Tennessee, Southern and SE
West Virginia, Western Maryland and is growing at a rapid rate. We have a large subcription base that
holds subscribers as far as Arizona. |
| Do you accept polaroids for photo ads? |
| Yes we do, but pay close attention to the quality of the photo |
| What is your physical address for mailing? |
If you are sending it by the postal service, send it to PO Box 1032, Galax, Va 24333, if you are using
UPS or Fed-ex send it to 2160 Davis Knob Rd, Galax, VA 24333 |
| If I mail my photo in, how do I get it back? |
| Send a self addressed stamped envelope or other, and after about three weeks we will return. |
| Can you use digital photos? |
| Most certainly! |
| Can I advertise anything other than horses? |
| Yes, as long as it has something to do with horse or farm. |
| Can I use a copy or do I have to use the original photo? |
| It is at your discretion. Originals always work better. We will not accept poor copies. |
| How long do you keep photos on file? |
Maximum three months on photo ads. For retail display ads we will keep them on file for at least a year without
activation. |
| What kind of results can I expect? |
| Depending on photo, price, item, it can vary. But normal results is excellent |
| How will I know when my subscription ends? |
| Your expiration date will be listed on the address label of your magazine. |
| What is the difference between 3rd class and 1st class mailing ? |
| The postal service informed us that 3rd class is 5-8 days , and 1st class is 3-5 days. |
| How do we get the magazine delivered to our area? |
